Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to work done by Dhanraj Chakravarti, trading as Creative Solutions (brand: TechBot), "I" or "me", for you, the client. Your written quote or contract always comes first: if it says something different from these terms, the quote or contract applies.

2. Quotes and scope

  • Every project starts with a written quote that describes the scope, timeline and price.
  • A fixed price covers the agreed scope. If you want something new or different, I send a short change request with the extra cost and time before doing the work.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise.

3. Payments

  • Projects are paid in milestones, usually starting with a deposit before work begins. The schedule is in your quote.
  • Monthly retainers and dedicated hours are billed monthly in advance.
  • Invoices are due by the date shown on the invoice. Prices can be in EUR, INR or another agreed currency.
  • If a payment is late, I may pause work until it is paid. I will always tell you first.
  • Hosting, domains, app store accounts and paid services (for example AI or WhatsApp messaging) are billed by the provider, or passed on to you at cost.

4. Your part

Good projects need quick answers. You agree to provide content, access and feedback on time, and to make sure you have the right to use any content you give me (text, images, data). Delays on your side may move the timeline.

5. Code ownership and intellectual property

  • Ownership is agreed upfront in our contract: either full transfer of the code to you on final payment, or a licence to use the software together with ongoing support.
  • Until the project is paid in full, all rights stay with me.
  • I keep ownership of my own tools, templates and code libraries that existed before your project or are reused across projects. You get a licence to use them as part of your software.
  • Open-source and third-party components stay under their own licences.
  • Your data, content and brand always remain yours.
  • I may mention the project in my portfolio. If you prefer, I show it without your name or keep it private.

6. Confidentiality

I keep your business information, data and plans confidential, during and after the project. I am happy to sign your non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before we talk details.

7. Data protection

When I handle personal data on your behalf (for example, your customers' records), I only use it to do the work you asked for and keep it secure. For clients in Ireland and the EU, I can sign a data processing agreement (DPA) in line with the GDPR. How I handle data from this website is explained in the Privacy Policy.

8. Testing, launch and bug fixes

You get the chance to test the work before launch. Bugs in the agreed scope that you report during the bug-fix period stated in your quote are fixed at no extra cost. After that, fixes and changes are covered by a support plan or charged separately.

9. Liability

  • I do the work with reasonable skill and care, but no software is completely free of errors.
  • My total liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid me for that project in the previous 12 months.
  • I am not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data. Keeping backups is your responsibility unless it is part of a maintenance plan with me.
  • I am not responsible for outages or changes in third-party services, such as hosting providers, app stores, payment gateways or AI services.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending a project

Either of us can end a project or plan with written notice (email is fine). You pay for the work done up to that date, and I hand over the completed work in line with section 5. Notice periods for monthly plans are set out in the agreement.

11. Clients in Ireland and the EU

Clients in Ireland and across the EU are very welcome. Contracts are in English, prices can be in EUR, and my working day overlaps with Irish and UK mornings. I am happy to work with your own contract, NDA or DPA templates.

12. Governing law

Unless your contract says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of India. For clients in Ireland or the EU, we can agree a different governing law in the contract. Nothing here removes rights you have under the laws of your own country that cannot be excluded.
